Selection Process of Maharashtra Police Constable Bharti 2024

For a fair recruitment process, the exam-conducting authority will conduct two stages of the selection process to recruit eligible candidates for Police Constable and Police Constable Driver posts. The selection process for Maharashtra Police Constable Bharti 2024 includes a physical exam, a written exam, and a skill test for police constable driver posts.

1. Physical Exam (Physical Standard Test and Physical Efficiency Test)

Physical Standard Test (PST) will involve measurements of height and chest for male candidates.

Candidates failing to meet the specified physical standards will be eliminated from the selection process.

Maharashtra Police Constable Physical Standard Test:

    • Height: 165 cm
    • Chest (Unexpanded/Expanded): 79 cm / 84 cm

    • Height: 158 cm

Physical Efficiency Test (PET) will include running tests and ball throw for both male and female candidates.

The Physical Efficiency Test will be scored out of a total of 50 marks.

2. Written Exam

  • Candidates who qualify the Physical Efficiency Test will proceed to the written exam.
  • The written exam will be conducted for a total of 100 marks.
  • Topics covered in the written exam include Intellectual Test, Marathi Grammar, Mathematics, General Knowledge & Current Affairs.
  • Each correct answer will be awarded 1 mark.
  • The duration of the written exam will be 90 minutes.

3. Skill Test/Driving Test (for Police Constable Driver posts)

  • Candidates applying for Police Constable Driver posts will undergo a skill test after the written exam.
  • The skill test will assess the driving skills of the candidates.
  • Skill tests will be conducted for a total of 50 marks, including Gunambi driving test and Jeep driving test.
  • Candidates who qualify the written exam will be called for the skill test.

Salary of Maharashtra Police Constables

Candidates who successfully clear all stages of the selection process will be appointed for police constable posts.
